The first Anglo-Georgian co production. It is a drama-documentary which tries to re-trace the footsteps of Marjory and Oliver Wardrop. Who went to Georgia at the end of 19th century ,fell in love with the country and set about learning its people and culture. Their studies were eventually to put Georgia on the map. They learnt the Georgian language and Marjory translated an epic poem of 12th century by Shota Rustaveli “Man in the Panther’s Skin.” Meanwhile her brother, a British Diplomat was a British Commissioner to Georgia. Both their names are still celebrated in Georgia. The film also involves interviews with Britons and Georgians on what they know of each other’s country. Alex Kingston, a British actress, goes to Georgia as a kind of modern-day Marjory Wardrop. Her mission was to explore the legacy of the Wardrops.
